I program, design, and compose for games of all kinds!

I especially enjoy ones that add novel twists to their genre, or that challenge me (either in a design sense or a technical sense).

All projects showcased were created using Unity and C#.

Project Truman (Working Title)

Description: A life sim where senior year never stops looping, and you have to find your way out....

Work: Performed task management on a long (~10 hour), ambitious project. Programmed core elements of the game, including a modular dialogue system. Designed, greyboxed, and partially colored locations. Composed music.

Gambler's Gambit

Description: A tense dice-rolling strategy game where you try to swindle your customers out of their money....

Work: Programmed core gameplay, opponent behavior, and dialogue system. Prototyped and iterated on basic game concept.

Game Jam: This game was created in two days for the 2022 GMTK Game Jam. It placed 45th overall, and 25th in presentation, out of over 6,000 entries!

WanderLeaf

Description: An open-world 3D platformer where you harness your jetpack to get wherever you need!

Work: Designed and programmed movement, dialogue, AI, and combat. Designed algorithms to manage large numbers of objects in an open-world setting. Prototyped and implemented level design. Composed music.

Description: You are a bowl of ramen. Gather the ingredients to become the tastiest meal in history!

Work: Designed and programmed player movement. Composed and implemented music. Designed levels.

Genre: 2D Platformer / Shooter

Game Jam: I made this game with a small team in a week for Brackeys Game Jam 2021.1.

We placed 19th overall, 4th in fun, and 16th in audio, out of over 1,700 participants!

Jack Frost: Destroyer

Description: A shooter where not only ammo, but also walking, is a limited resource.

Work: Designed and programmed snow as a limited-resource system. Composed main theme. Designed levels.

Genre: Third-Person Shooter

Game Jam: I made this game with a small team in less than a week for Totally Ranked Holiday Jam.

We placed 1st out of about 20 participants!

Work: Participated with about 20 peers in an Agile development environment (one sprint per week). Programmed rough prototypes for various game mechanics.
